My 2023 in reading

It’s been nearly a year since I last posted, for several reasons…

  1. I do dataviz full time now and don’t have much creative juice left over after work
  2. The creative juice I do have is going entirely into photorealistic embroidery (lol). If you’d like to take a look at that, I’ve made another lil website and post semi regularly on instagram

All that aside, I’ve still been faithfully tracking my reading, it just took me a long while to get the energy and inspiration to look at the data.

Part of my block was that my reading has gone way done from last year–not only do I read fewer minutes per day, I also finished fewer books because I couldn’t commit to anything and left a bunch of stuff partially read.

I’d actually like to visualize my book abandonment somehow but, again, probably will never get around to it

I’ve decided to just post one crazy viz and forgo the larger/fancier analysis I’ve done in years past. Enjoy!
